A lecture entitled ‘How to respect each other' was given by Maulana Abdul Ghaffar Ahmed Sahib to members of the Leamington Ahmadiyya Muslim Association on Wednesday.

Ahmadi Muslims in Leamington have heard a lecture with a message of respect and love at a time when they are mourning deaths in their international community.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association attended their mosque in Adelaide Road on Wednesday and listened to Abdul Ghaffar Ahmed, of the Birmingham Ahmadiyya Mosque deliver a lecture.

Community leaders are appealing for patience, steadfastness and prayers in response to recent attacks by extremists on two mosques in Lahore, Pakistan, during Friday prayers.

Mohammed Salim, president of the Leamington Association said: “The community is still in shock but refuses to be provoked.

“We are a peaceful community who have been persecuted for decades but we have always responded with non-violence, steadfastness and prayer."

“We expect the Pakistan government to treat this matter seriously and ensure that the terrorist responsible for this outrage are brought to justice.”

The association has been leading a peace campaign in Leamington by distributing leaflets and placing adverts on buses, which promote its motto “Love for all, hatred for none”.
